24-HOUR PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL.
The 24-Hour Playwrights Festival is the ultimate dramatic marathon at Sehome. Once a year and lasts for one night only!
On Friday night of 24, a group of student-playwrights gather in theater to create brand-new plays. At this overnight event, they team-write a script completely from scratch, starting only when the writers arrive.
On Saturday morning, teams of directors, actors and tech designers arrive. They are greeted with these never-before-seen pieces and turn them into fully-staged performances with costumes, props, lights, sets and fully-memorized lines.
That same evening, we open the house to an audience for the world-premieres of these brilliant performances.
What will the plays be about this year? Who knows?
