When Ethel Savage inherits ten million dollars from her late husband, she plans to put the money to use helping as many people as she can. But her three adult children have other plans! After Mrs. Savage refuses to give them the money, they have her committed to a mental hospital. Though she longs to be released from the hospital, Mrs. Savage soon questions where the real insanity exists. Does it live within the walls of the sanitarium where the eccentric yet caring patients tend to each other’s needs in their gentle and compassionate ways?
