Hadestown:
Teen Edition

Come see how the world could be.
Hadestown takes you on an unforgettable and defiantly hopeful journey to the underworld and back, retelling the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz. Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The Teen version of Hadestown has been modified especially for teen voices and high school performance. Anaïs Mitchell and the Hadestown team are especially interested in young artists exploring new ways to tell this story, and finding new interpretations of the script and characters rather than recreating the original production. In performing this popular new musical, Sehome Drama seeks to empower our young artists to explore contemporary work in new and exciting ways.
Audition Info:
Vocal Auditions: February 10 or 11
Dance Auditions: February 12
Callbacks: February 13
Please prepare a 60-90 second musical theater song to showcase your voice.
Bring a backing track on your phone or computer.
Please, no acapella songs.
If you need assistance choosing a song, please speak to McGowan or Katz.
For dance auditions, you will learn choreography from the show in a group.

The Three Musketeers
based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas
This adaptation of the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas is a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes and above all, honor.
It tells the story of a brother and sister, d’Artagnan and Sabine, who sets off for Paris in search of adventure and where D’Artagnan hopes to join the valiant King’s Musketeers. The two siblings become entrenched in a plot against the King and must work together to save France from ruin.
